  • DR SRI SUNDARAM

    MBBS, FRCGP, DFFP, P.G. Diploma (Diabetes & Endocrines). Principal GP. Honorary Clinical Teacher - Keele University

    Dr. Sri completed his GP training in Ascot in 2004/5, before re-locating to Stoke On Trent. He became the prinicipal GP at Adderley Green Surgery in April 2012. His interests are Diabetes, Care of the Elderly, Emergency Medicine and Minor Surgery. Dr. Sri is a GP trainer and holds the title of Honorary Clinical Teacher at Keele University. Dr Sri is a specialist in substance misuse and works with a specialist team to run the Phoenix Practice for Challenging Behaviour patients.

  • DR BALA SANKARSUBBU

    MBBS, DFSRH, DRCOG, FRCGP, BMS Accredited Menopause Specialist

    Qualifying at the University of Madras, India in 2001, Dr. Bala completed her GP training locally at Keele Medical School. Her special interests are sexual health and emergency medicine. Dr. Bala also runs women's health clinic /coil clinics on Wednesdays by appointment only.

Possesses strong leadership qualities and administrative skills, fostering collaboration among multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Willing to take on greater responsibilities to meet team goals, foster trust, empathy, and continuity of care.

    I am a compassionate and committed medical doctor with 11 years post-graduation experience and five years full GMC registration. I have a keen interest in improving primary care, alongside an extensive history of diagnosing and treating a variety of common and uncommon health conditions. I am great at management of medical health complexities, children and young people, mental health, geriatrics as well as other medical domains. I am skilled in completing additional tasks including quality improvement activities. My focus is always on the individual patient, ensuring they receive appropriate, personalized care, while also considering their personal wishes.

Nurse Practitioners

Nurse Practitioners are trained specialist nurses. They are highly experienced nurses who have undertaken additional medical education in order to provide advanced nursing care and to prescribe medication. Nurse practitioners can provide treatment and advice for many problems for which you may have seen a doctor for in the past. Their main areas of expertise are in the management of common illnesses and long term conditions.

    Sharon joined our team in April 2017, following completing her Independent Prescriber Qualification at Keele university. She will be running our minor illness clinics to see and treat patients . She is a very experienced nurse with a background in emergency medicine as well as GP practice and Community Nursing.

Nurses

General Practice Nurses work in a GP surgery as part of a primary healthcare team, which typically includes doctors, nurses, pharmacists, physiotherapists and dietitians. A practice nurse will be involved in almost every aspect of patient care and treatment

Healthcare Assistants

Our Healthcare assistants undertake new patient health checks. Support the practice nurse with health promotion programmes. Carry out baseline observations such as pulse oximetry, blood pressure, temperature, pulse rate, recording findings accurately. Facilitate routine and 24-hour BP monitoring, advising patients accordingly.

Practice Management

The practice manager is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. The practice manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.

Reception

Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with financial claims, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits.
